Karen Slater spent more than twenty years of her career in corporate marketing and sales for some of the largest global companies in the world such as British Telecom, General Electric, Electronics Company of Israel (ECI Telecom),  McDonnell Douglas Information Services, MCI/ Tymnet and  Continental Airlines / Amadeus / System One.  Karen managed corporate functions such as domestic sales, global sales, international business development in Asia, Australia, New Zealand. Following a successful career in sales, she moved on to marketing, product management, advertising, marketing, quality management, advertising and public relations.  Karen retired after 25 years as a corporate executive managing large global operations to start Rentluxuryhomes.com.

RentluxuryHomes.com was developed with the traveling family in mind... "when my family goes on vacation, we want an accommodation offering all of the comforts of our home creature which we have come to enjoy and all of the amenities that we have come to expect in a well equipped, luxury home".  Her idea was to create a private vacation resort which offers all of the conveniences of a well equipped luxury home, al a carte concierge services equal to that of a fine hotel and other amenities that could only be found in a private home setting...offering "A SUITE ALTERNATIVE".

Having spent 50% of my time on the road in luxury hotels,  the last place and executive wants to take their family is to another hotel.  As President and Founder of RentLuxuryHomes.com, Karen selected Fort Lauderdale in 1996 to set up her base of operations to begin offering "A SUITE ALTERNATIVE" designed with the family vacationer in mind.  Karen takes pride in the properties that she offers on her website and warrants that clients will rent an immaculately clean, well equipped, tastefully furnished property in a desirable location.

From heated pools, boats/ yachts / jet skis at your dock, gas barbecue grills, beach chairs, coolers, cappuccino machines, coffee bean grinders, bread makers, washer & dryer, games for kids,  beach stuff, puzzles, books, lounge chairs and patio tables surrounding your private heated pool, big screen TVs with premium cable channels, surround sound, VCRs, DVDs, CD players, and stocked library.  We try to offer the amenities in many of our homes to satisfy the most "selective" client.

Karen is President of Rentluxury, LLC, a licensed Realtor in South Florida, a member of RAGLFA (Realtor Association of South Florida, and on the Board of Directors of the South Florida Vacation Rental Association (SFVRA).  She holds a Bachelor's degree from Towson University in Baltimore Maryland, and has attended Harvard University in Boston, MA furthering her business management skills.
